Based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, Marchants Coaches is a family business operating since 1948.

 

In addition to private coach hire we operate a day excursion programme throughout the year, UK & European tours, theatre trips & dedicated school bus services with a modern fleet of buses & coaches, ranging from 8 to 80 seats in both standard & executive specification.

 

We are passionate about our clients & delivering the highest levels of customer service with a team of dedicated, friendly & committed professional drivers & operations staff.

Coach Drivers (Full Time)

 

Who are we looking for?

 

We are currently recruiting PCV drivers for a variety of work including school bus services & trips, day excursions, private hire & tours throughout the UK & Europe. Working 5/6 days over 7 (Monday – Sunday) this may involve working some anti-social hours.

 

As a Marchants Driver you will be responsible for:

 

• Driving PCV vehicles on local & long distance routes.

• Keeping the vehicles clean & tidy at all times

• Delivering the highest levels of safety & customer service at all times

 

You will need to meet the following criteria:

 

• A current PCV driving licence

• A current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)

• A current digital tachograph

• Have a good working knowledge of, & keep up to date with all relevant legislation & ensure compliance with Drivers Hours Regulations, Health & Safety Regulations & all Company policies & procedures.

• Flexibility to work a wide range of shift patterns including weekends & Bank Holidays

• Exceptional customer service skills and clear communication skills

• Be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check

• Be in good general health

 

As part of our recruitment process you will be expected to undergo a driving assessment & medical.

 

What can we offer you?

 

• Mondays - Fridays £15.00 per hour

• Saturdays, Sundays & Bank Holidays £16.60 per hour

• Weekly pay

• Guaranteed minimum 40 hours per week

• Additional hours maybe available subject to EU Driving Hours & Working Time Directive

• 28 days paid holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays

School Bus Drivers (Part Time - Term Time Only)

 

Who are we looking for?

 

We are currently recruiting experienced PCV drivers for our dedicated school bus services, working Monday to Friday's either on AM, PM or a split shift during term times only.

 

As a Marchants Driver you will be responsible for:

 

• Driving PCV vehicles on local dedicated school bus services

• Keeping the vehicles clean & tidy at all times

• Delivering the highest levels of customer service at all times

 

You will need to meet the following criteria:

 

• A current PCV driving licence

• A current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)

• A current digital tachograph

• Have a good working knowledge of, & keep up to date with all relevant legislation & ensure compliance with Drivers Hours Regulations, Health & Safety Regulations & all Company policies & procedures.
