'We just wanted to send this email to say what a fab time we had on our recent trip with you to Thursford Christmas Spectacular. The hotel was great, really friendly, CLEAN, and the food was brilliant.

 

We have never been to Thursford, been on our bucket list for years, and we were not disappointed with the show, or the rest of the itinerary over the four days.

 

But mostly want to say a big thank you to Tony S, what a driver. He was a great host, gave us lots of treats over the four days which was a lovely gesture and made you feel very special. He was always looking out for our best interests and nothing was to much trouble.

 

Will definitely be keeping an eye out for future trips with you.'

'We thought we would let you know how much we enjoyed the trip to Cromer this last weekend. The Virginia Court Hotel was lovely, so bright and clean and very prettily decorated for Christmas. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was very nice, clean and comfortable. All the food was beautifully prepared and presented and we enjoyed every meal.

 

We had never been to the Thursford Christmas show before and were totally enthralled by the whole thing. It definitely deserved the description  ‘Spectacular’. Our seats were great too, in an ideal spot. The end of the pier show, although on a completely different scale to Thursford, was great fun and equally entertaining.

  

Last but not least was our Driver Tony S, we have been on several trips with Marchants and have been happy with all the drivers but we are always extra pleased when we see Tony is greeting us as our driver. He is great, nothing ever seems too much trouble for him and he is very kind and patient with the less mobile on the trip. He always seems to go that extra mile to make the journeys as enjoyable a part of the trip as the destination. (Even though it is becoming quite difficult, in certain places, for him to park or find a suitable drop-off points close enough to the towns). We also like the fact that he is so knowledgeable about the areas, towns and cities that we will be visiting and is usually able to give directions to best places to visit whilst there, which is very helpful.'

Both Chris and Gary (apologise, didn’t get surnames) that helped take our vulnerable families out on two days trips this month; Chris to Weston-Super-Mare and just last week Gary took them to Noah’s Farm park. 

 

Both chaps were happy and friendly, introducing themselves straight away. We then, as a staff team were able to continually use their familiar smiles and names to help our more anxious parents feel a little more secure and manage the trips. Both were great at supporting struggles with pushchairs, helping my team put the picnic crates underneath as well.

'I just wanted to email in to say how amazingly impressed I was with your day excursion to the Elan Valley on Sunday 30th Oct. From the price and the experience of the entire trip was once again planned to an exceptional standard. Tony S the driver was as always friendly, polite and professional providing plenty of comfort stops throughout the day to stretch our legs and use the facilities as well as provide information on where we were and the plan for the day ahead. After stopping at the visitor centre we then went onto the tricky road around the dams. The road here was incredibly scenic and tight. We even got stuck by badly parked cars although Tony kept his composure and after several attempts he got through without any damage to any vehicle and in which the entire coach applauded him. I continue to be genuinely amazed on the skill in which he got through. We've travelled with Marchants for years and had Tony as a driver on a number of occasions and still amazed on the roads he can navigate with the size of his vehicle. Once again just goes to show the incredible skill and expertise of Tony as well as shows the amount of planning that is put in to make these day excursions a success. "Just to say that our driver, Alan M, looked after us extremely well on our bowls tour last week. Right from the start (he arrived earlier than scheduled so we were loaded and off dead on 8am as hoped) right up until arrival back home Friday evening he was superb. Not only did he find out in advance where the bowling clubs were we were playing at, he took the time to WALK from Paignton to the Torbay Country Club on Tuesday then on Wednesday when we were playing there he took the service bus into Brixham, walked up two very steep hills to the two venues there then came back to Paignton, got the coach and came to pick us up at the agreed time. Above and beyond I would say. Thursday morning he took us into Brixham, dropped us off as requested then came back at 1pm to take us to the clubs. The only glitch was Friday morning when it took us the best part of two and a half hours to get from Paignton to WSM. Unfortunately, as much as I'd like to put the blame for this on an ex Pongo just for old times’ sake, I don't suppose it was his fault the motorway was clogged for most of the way. It was a pleasure having him drive us around and I really did appreciate his good humour, calm manner and professionalism. We worked out pickup and departure times between without a hitch and he helped to make the tour the success that it was. If we go on another tour I might just ask for him again!"
