Road Closure Notice  

 

Location of closure:

Cheltenham Road/Stoke Road mini roundabout, Bishops Cleeve

 

Road closed from:

From 08:00 on Wednesday 24^th April 2024

 

Road closed until:

Until 16:00 on Friday 26^th April 2024

 

Services affected:

M3 Pates Grammar School

 

This road closure is required by Severn Trent Water to carry out a hydrant installation in this location

 

AM Diversionary route:

From Gotherington Lane (opposite Hardy Road) this service will continue along Gotherington Lane before turning right in to Station Road, left in to School Road, right in to Church Road, left in to Tobyfield Road, right in to Dale Walk then left in to Two Hedges Road and continuing the normal route

 

PM Diversionary route:

From Two Hedges Road (Cleeve School) this service will continue along Two Hedges Road before turning right in to Dale Walk, left in to Tobyfield Road, right in to Church Road, left in to School Road, right in to Station Road then left in to Gotherington Lane and continuing the normal route

 

During the road closure we are unable to serve the following bus stops:

• Church Road (Mill Parade in both directions), Bishops Cleeve

• Cheltenham Road (Newdawn Close in both directions), Bishops Cleeve

 

Temporary bus stops in use during to road closure:

This service will stop at Tobyfield Road (Factory Outlet Shop in both directions), Bishops Cleeve. No other bus stops on the diversionary route will be served.

Update on the A46 road closure between Pitchcombe & Painswick

 

Gloucestershire County Council has confirmed the A46 is due to reopen albeit down to one lane under traffic light control, between Painswick & Pitchcombe from tomorrow morning (Thursday 18^th April).

 

As a precautionary measure, tomorrow we are operating the current diversionary route for our M11 & M12 services including the M10 special in case reopening the road is delayed for whatever reason.

 

From Friday 19^th April we will be operating our M11 & M12 services as normal.

 

Thank you for your patience & understanding during the period of the road closure. We’re aware the diversionary route wasn’t ideal but necessary to overcome the situation we faced at very short notice. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused, albeit beyond our control.

Road closed until:

18:00 on Wednesday 15^th May 2024

 

Services affected:

M15 Winchcombe School

 

This road closure is required by Severn Trent Water to install a new hydrant in this location 

 

AM Diversionary route:

This service will travel from the Church Road (Mill Parade bus stop), Bishops Cleeve to the A435 Evesham Road (Greenacres bus stop), Bishops Cleeve via Cheltenham Road, Voxwell Lane and the A435 before resuming the normal route

 

PM Diversionary route:

This service will travel from the A435 Evesham Road (Greenacres bus stop), Bishops Cleeve to Church Road (opposite Mill Parade bus stop), Bishops Cleeve via Voxwell Lane & Cheltenham before resuming the normal route

 

During the road closure we are unable to serve the following bus stops:

• Finlay Way (The Withers bus stops – in both directions), Bishops Cleeve

• Finlay Way (The Cloisters bus stop – AM journey), Bishops Cleeve

• Finlay Way (opposite Lidl – PM journey), Bishops Cleeve

 

The nearest bus stops during to road closure are located at:

• Church Road (Mill Parade bus stops – in both directions), Bishops Cleeve

• A435 Evesham Road (Greenacres bus stop – in both directions), Bishops Cleeve

 

Temporary bus stops:

This service will not stop at any bus stops on the diversionary route
